So by now you know a little bit about me, but not a ton of detail about my 15+ years of experience. I started playing around with video in my late teens and studied it in college - everything from editing to shooting. What I was REALLY drawn to was making trailers and short promo videos - I LOVE short form! I worked for years doing projects for TV networks, production companies, corporations, tourist boards and pretty much anyone that needed a story told through a quick, impactful video! That naturally led to me helping brands create way better social media content + strategy which is the ULTIMATE in short form video - this is where I began to get interested in using my PHONE to make content vs. using a professional camera.

But that interest REALLY went deeper when I had my son, and needed to get better at using my phone to capture my OWN memories. That’s also what kicked off my business making family films for people! I LOVED that it was still short form content (most films I made were 3-5 mins), and that families just like mine were my clients! Filming was always fun (I still used my pro cam), and when I delivered the final result there were tears, overjoyed laughter and overwhelming happiness - I mean WHO can beat that!?
But…when COVID hit, this business died. No more seeing clients, no more shoots. So, I put away my professional camera, finally MASTERED using my phone, and decided to teach people how to make their own family films. Because EVERYONE deserves to have that moment of happiness my clients had - watching themselves on camera, reliving a special moment, and remembering that although raising kids is TOUGH, there is so much magic in the moments. I wanted to go deeper on sharing alllll of the knowledge and skills I’ve gained over the years, in the hopes that you see how much magic is in all of YOUR moments!
